A) Take the 100E Airport bus to Astoria, then take Bus 5 to Városmajor. The Bus runs every 10-30 minutes on average, almost 24 hours/day except for a few hours at night. Please note that you should buy a 100E airport shuttle bus single ticket, the ticket costs 1500 HUF (https://bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/prices/single-tickets-valid-for-one-ride/airport-shuttle-bus-single-ticket).

B) Take the 200E Airport bus to Kőbánya-Kispest metro station, then take the Metro line 3 (blue line) to Kálvin tér. Then take Tram 47 or 49 to Astoria and Bus 5 to Városmajor.
From Nyugati Pályaudvar train station:
a) Take Tram 4 or 6 to Széll Kálmán tér, then take Tram 56, 56A, 59 or 61 to Városmajor.
From Keleti Pályaudvar train station:
b) Take Bus 5 to Városmajor.
From Déli Pályaudvar train station:
c) Take Tram 56, 56A, 59 or 61 to Városmajor.
You should buy single tickets for public transport at the airport, metro station, or train station (https://bkk.hu/en/tickets-and-passes/prices/single-tickets-valid-for-one-ride) or in the BudapestGO app (https://bkk.hu/en/frequently-asked-questions/budapestgo/about-the-budapestgo-application/what-is-the-budapestgo-app). For each vehicle you will need a single ticket (as an example for 2. a) option you will need to buy one ticket to get to the city centre and two more (for the two trams) to get to the hotel.
In Hungary, the taxi decree regulates the price of taxis at a fixed tariff of 440 HUF/km, in addition to a one-off basic fee of 1100 HUF and a waiting fee of 110 HUF/min. It is recommended to call a Taxi through any of the Taxi companies’ Offical App
It is recommended to order a taxi through the official app of any taxi company. It is not recommended to hail a taxi on the street (especially a so-called “Freelancer”).

In Budapest the BKK Zrt. is responsible for public transport (www.bkk.hu).
The system consists of a combination of bus, trolley-bus, tram, and metro (4 lines). Tickets for all methods of transport can generally be purchased at the same location. Tickets and passes are available at “Pénztár” windows near the entrances of most metro stations and also in vending machines. Smoking is forbidden at bus/tram stops.
