Students from university preparatory programmes learning the Hungarian language visited one of the most characteristic market halls in Budapest, the Lehel market hall. Here, in addition to practising the names of basic food items, vegetables, fruits, and meats, they also had the opportunity to taste one of the Hungarian specialities, everyone’s favourite fried-dough snack “lángos”. The most popular type of “lángos” was the sour cream-cheese one, which most of the students enjoyed.
