On April 16, 2024, the students from the Hungarian Language and Hungarian Culture program took part in an unusual history lesson at the Hungarian Historical Archives of the State Security Services.

The archivist presented how surveillance of the society worked, especially in the socialist Hungary of the 1960s and 1970s. What was the life of informers and observed? What was the purpose of observing people and how did it affect each person’s life? – all of this was revealed during a visit to the archive’s exhibition.
